WEIRD AL CONCERT!

So, last night was the Weird Al concert at the Puyallup Fair...and it was the most totally awesomest thing I ever saw...

Just to see him up close and personal...it was surreal...been listening to the guy since I was a young'n...never thought I'd get to see him in concert...much less be that close! I had a great fucking seat...6th row, seat 18, section D...right smack dab in the middle...during Wanna B Ur Luvr, he came into the audience and was serenading everyone...

At that point...I had a vagina...

I know now what it's like to be a teenage girl...

For a time, I forgot I was a heterosexual man...

And, it was glorious...

All the sets were awesome...during costume changes they played some of those AL TV celebrity "interviews"...they're totally hilarious...you can look them up on You Tube...they're worth a gander, watching him just rip apart stupid celebrities...lol
They showed other clips from various tv shows of Al and a few sketches from UHF....

It's really hard to describe how awesome this concert was..you had to have been there...

I took over 400 pictures...a lot of them didn't come out too well because the guy barely stands still...

Smells Like Nirvana just rocked live...the cheerleaders were pretty cute too...I tried to get a couple shots of them, but it was kinda hard...no pun intended...
I wasn't quite close enough to get splashed with water...just one or 2 rows too far back...but almost got it...

Let's see...what else...

I got a couple of souvenirs...a piece of ribbon that was shot out of an air cannon...and a $100 "Al Buck" as I call it....has his portrait on it...totally awesome stuff...

Oh, yes....The Saga Begins....a highlight of the show...a bunch of dancing Stormtroopers and Darth Vader and Boba Fett...with Al and the band dressed as Jedi...except Ruben, he was Darth Sidious...
That was pretty sweet....and they left and he went into Yoda....usually he ends his shows with Yoda, but that was more in the middle...the show went on for a quite a while after that, I was surprised...

Oh, he performed a new song, I'm in Love With the Skipper....a parody of I'm in Love with a Stripper...dressed as Gilligan....I hope that one's on the next album....

The costume changes were pretty sweet....dressing like Taylor Hicks, Eminem, Rage Against the Machine, the Fat suit, Eat It jacket, the silver suit for All About the Pentiums...and the 6 costume changes in one song that ended with a Spongebob t-shirt, pink tutu, boxer shorts and fishnets...that was awesome....

He started performing Trapped in the Drive-Thru...I thought he was gonna do the whole thing...that's an 11 minute song..I wouldn't have complained, it's a funny ass song...I was just surprised...lol

Of course, he came out in a huge fat suit for Fat...when he was yelling "Ho!", a roadie dressed in drag came out, carrying a garden hoe...that was certainly a sight...

He ended the show with Albuquerque....a 12 minute song...of course, the live version was more like 15 or 20 because of the extra stuff he threw in there...lol...but it was awesome...

The encore was "We All Have Cell Phones"...at which point the whole audience raised their phones in the air...

All-in-all, it was the best time I've ever had....anywhere! Great show! If I had the money, I would totally become a groupie and just follow him around the country....

This was actually my first real concert...I'd been to live music performances, but nothing I'd really consider a concert...this was A CONCERT!

I will never forget it and I will never miss another one!

The Times, They Are A-Changin'....

OK, well, things HAVE to change with me right now...things at my job just keep getting worse by the day...I was told that I was almost fired...it seems like nobody wants me there anymore...a few people aren't expecting me to be coming in anymore...they seem to think I'm making mistakes on purpose...they think I'm being passive aggressive...they've accused me of not caring about the animals and putting them at risk...all of this is, of course, bullshit...I would never intentionally harm an animal...I don't even like hunting, for pete's sake! So, I was very offended when they accused me of acting like a douchebag...I'm so fed up with that place...tomorrow I have the day off...I'm gonna draw and I'm gonna look for a new job...

Going to my reunion this past weekend (which was a blast, by the way) got me thinking about my life...where I've been, where I'm at and where, if anywhere, I'm going...my life's been pretty rough the last 10 years as many of my friends know...some of you don't know all the details...

I should be drawing comics like I've always wanted to do...I don't know why I've never pursued it as adamantly as I should have...my friend Scottie sent me a link to something that I HAVE to do....that's all there is to it...so, I'm going to...starting tomorrow...I'm gonna start work on it right away...

I'm also going to work harder on my own original, personal projects...I need something to happen to me creatively...I need to make a living with art...that's really all I'm good at...I can't find my niche at nowhere, dead end jobs...

I'm creatively at a stalemate right now...also personally too...I'm just nowhere near where I thought I would be by this time...

Hopefully, at the next reunion, I won't be embarrassed to tell people what I do for a living...

I need lots of support, so be sure to keep on me about this stuff...

Responsibility Sucks...

Welp, I just got back from getting my car fixed...Over $600 later...but, at least it's over now...I can get on with finding a new job...

I'm pretty certain they're just keeping me around at work just so I do all the shitty work that no one else wants to do....I feel like they're putting me in these situations, just waiting for me to make a major screw up...they all think I'm an incompetent moron...even though I'm the most intelligent person working there...and I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who doesn't constantly smoke pot...

God, it's a horrible job...although these two new chicks started and they're both pretty cute...but, that's beside the point...

So, yeah...car is done...I can stop stressing about that...now I just gotta focus on getting a new job...

And now, the lawn needs me to go whoop it's ass...

Scrubba Dubba...

Don't mind the title...I'm just feeling kinda "ugh" today...I haven't been feeling myself lately...and work isn't helping...it seems like everyday I go to work I end up saying, "I had a bad day at work."

Today I was thrown into an argument between 2 other employees...my supervisor was one of them...and then she was pissed, so she started taking it out on me, which upset me...and then I hit my head while I was scooping poop and I got so pissed that I chucked the pooper scooper like a javelin...I threw that bad boy pretty far too...I was pretty proud...until I started bleeding from my head...so, the day was pretty much shot...

FUNNY THINGS I SAW THIS WEEK:

A 350+ pound man riding a motorcycle that was MUCH too small for him.

A Toyota pick-up that had some redneck alterations done...no doors, bungee cord keeping the tailgate up, etc.

A man getting arrested at the gas station after being pulled over...I'm pretty sure it was because he didn't have a license...it was pretty cool...I don't think I've ever seen anyone get arrested in person before....pretty neat...not sure what happened to the Budget truck he rented or the dog that was in the cab...

Another Day, Another Dolla...

What a day I had at work...I love it when people don't finish their work and leave me to do it...well, they'll get a nice surprise when they see that the laundry they left me to do is still there...I don't know why they insist on leaving me to fold the laundry...and then I get bitched at for doing it! I can't win for losing at that fuckin' place...

And then, I get bitched at for something else...it's an endless cycle...I need to find a new job FAST so I can quit that hell hole...

I didn't get outta there til 8:30 tonight because I got backed from just being busy with customers on top of stuff that wasn't done earlier in the day when there were 3 friggin' people there this morning...

Man, that shit pisses me off...

But, despite all that, I did get a pretty nice paycheck today, so at least I have some cash in the bank now...

So, that was my day...and now I'm off to bed...

Back From the Depths...

Ok, I haven't updated this thing in a while...I mostly stick to myspace, but I'll try to pay more attention over here as well...

Just a quick update since my last one...I'm now working, albeit a shitty job, but a job nonetheless...My car is on the fritz right now, but I'm getting it taken care of...it was much more convenient to run errands when I was a lazy bum...now I'm contributing to society, but it's a pain in the ass to find time to get anything done...

Other than that, not much else...I HAVE to get drawing some more...I've been slacking off so much because I'm always working or just being lazy....I need to do it though...I haven't updated my deviantart page in over a year...it's high time to get some new material up there...I'll work on some stuff this week...

Oh, my mom and I are starting an eBay business...just started it this weekend...we only have 4 auctions up right now, but it's getting all semi-professional...we bought (well, Henry bought it actually) a $200 digital camera to take nice pics with and all this other groovy stuff...wish us luck!

So, other than that, nothing else new....but, I'll be sure to update more often...

T-Shirts Rule....

So I was at the store this evening...I wore my "Boobies Make Me Smile" t-shirt...it was really an unconcious decision to wear it...as it is with most of my clothing decisions...which explains my fashion sense...

Anyway, I was looking at some items and this girl about 18 or so was with her family and she said, "Look, grandma, boobies make him smile." Then she turns to me and says, "Penises make me smile."

HUZZAH!

Political Correctness Strikes Again...

So, I'm sitting here watching Back to the Future on ABC Family and I'm paying attention to all the editing for television (a.k.a. butchering) they've done to the film...

"Jesus Christ, Doc, you disintegrated Einstein!" is now...

"Geez Louise, Doc, you disintegrated Einstein!"

I can sit through those seemingly meaningless edits...that's fine...

The one that really got me, however, was this...

When Marty writes the letter to Doc telling him he'll be shot, they've removed the reference to them being terrorists...

"On the night I go back to the future, you will be shot ---- Please take..." Etc. etc.

It should be "you will be shot by terrorists."

In fact, they've almost completely cut the Libyans from the film save for a minute or two in the beginning when Marty is trying to run from them in the DeLorean...

"Oh my God, they found me. I don't know how, but they found me."
"Who?! WHO?!"
"Who do you think? The Libyans!"

Cut to:

Marty in the DeLorean driving around the parking lot trying to out run them.

They completely cut out Doc getting shot....

Now, I understand the current world climate, but isn't that exactly what they want us to do? Change how we live because we're "afraid"?

Well, that's bullshit....

I can't believe what they've done to this movie for television...

I swear they'll give licenses to anyone who can walk these days....so, I was driving home from my friend's house Sunday night...I was obeying all the rules, driving the speed limit, staying in my own lane, etc...when there's this big ol' pick up truck in the lane next to me...as I start to get ahead of him, I notice that he's getting closer to me...so, being a defensive driver, I start to slow down...and he's just movin' on over into my lane sans blinker...so I just smack my horn and hold it down for about a minute as he finishes his disregarding merge....then he continues over to the exit....and even then, he can't decide which lane he likes better...I was going to flip him off, but he was too far away to see me and, I mean, what's the point of givin' someone the bird if they can't see it....am I right?

Fuckin' morons.

So, I went to Best Buy to use my gift card and pick up the Flyboys dvd...and I get there and they're all sold out! What the fizzle?! I went to two different locations and niether one had it! I didn't think that movie was that popular...I know not that many people went to see it, so I figured no one would care about the dvd...but I guess either I was duped by the box office, or there are just a lot of stupid dvd buyers who blind buy at the drop of a hat...I'm guessing the latter...

Oh, so my insurance denied that douchebag's claim...even the guy inspecting the car was dumbfounded...

I guess everything happens for a reason...all those years of beating and scraping the hell out of my car paid off...they couldn't find any damage that wasn't already there...and I don't think they would have anyway, but hey...that's how the cow farts, my friends...

So, I had that job interview today...I think it went pretty well, though the commute was a little rough...took me almost an hour to get to Issaquah from Sumner...and it took me 2 hours to get home...but, I'll do the drive if I get the job...I'm not complainin', I'm just complaining...

I started school again...I'm not as psyched as I was this time last quarter, mostly because I'm not sure if I even wanna keep doing graphic design because, well, frankly, I suck at it...I should just stick to illustration and get those comic submissions done...and with the job I'll be able to start buying stuff to sell on ebay...so, everybody pray for me!

One of my instructors is an old teacher from the Art Institute...so, that's kinda surreal having him teach me again...especially since I had to take his class twice at AIS...this should be interesting...

Man, I'm getting lazy with these things...not sure what else to write about....

So, here's the word of the day...

Yes, I've been re-sucked in...hence, the reason I haven't posted in a couple days...I gotta get as much time in as I can before school starts again on Monday...blech...

At least I found time to get a job interview...Yep, it's at PetSmart in Issaquah...yeah, it's a bit of a drive, but I'm willing to take a bullet for the paycheck...it's working in their "PetsHotel" thing which, I'm assuming, is a boarding service...
I have plenty of experience in that...I worked at the vet clinic doing just that and I also worked at Banfield which I forgot to mention, but that I'll just slip into the conversation during the interview...Banfield, by the way, is owned by PetSmart...ah ha! Now it comes together...

So, I went to this game store at the mall...they boast that they have the World of Warcraft TCG...2 big ass banners in the window, etc...so, I walk in there, looking around...finally, I find the card games, shoved in one corner of the store and behind the counter and it's nothing but Magic...I'm looking, I'm looking...the only WoW TCG item I find is a fucking playmat...so, I keep looking...plenty of Star Wars miniatures and Heroclix and Scene It and all those god-awful "Opoly" games...then as I'm leaving, I see it...one paltry box of WoW booster packs...that's it...after all that boasting and that's all they have?! Good Lord...

I also managed to get some time in to clean my room...some of it anyway...

I'm going to play poker again tomorrow...and watch the Seahawks playoff game...gotta watch some Bond to get my mojo...it really worked for me after I saw Casino Royale...I'm still 4 for 4 in our poker games...J and I are tied, both having lost and won the same amount of games...I guess we just kick ass....

The New Year'sa Heresa....

Well, it's officially 2007...I hope everyone had a nice hangover today...my new year's was spent in my undies flipping through the channels, not finding a damn thing on and hopping back and forth between the TV and computer...
So, I started playing World of Warcraft again...thought it was time I get my 53 Dwarf Hunter up to 60 sometime before the expansion comes out...it doesn't help not having a guild or even any friends who play on your server anymore (thanks, Chris)...but, I'm slowly but surely getting there...
I've also thought about getting the World of Warcraft card game that came out a few months ago...been looking on ebay for starter sets...found a couple good hits...I'll probably peruse the stores tomorrow...

I really wanna get my ebay business going, but there's that little nuisance called money...my mom's offered to be my partner, so we'll see how that goes...

The job search is a pain in the ass...been putting out applications and resumes and no hits at all...that's why I need my ebay business...so I can say "fuck you" to the asshats who didn't gimme a chance...

Sorry...bitter again...

I'd just love to be my own boss and not have to worry about impressing other people just to get a shitty job...it seems like such a waste...

So, I got my final grades from this last quarter of school...I think one of my teachers just passed me so she wouldn't have to deal with me again...she's not gonna be very happy when my ugly mug shows up in her Desktop Publishing II class on January 10th...
I'm just glad that quarter is over...hopefully, this next one will be a little better since it's only 3 classes instead of 4 and only one is a gen ed class...though, the gen ed classes were a lot easier than my core design classes...so, we'll see...

I think I should get started on my comic pages I plan to submit...probably won't hear anything, but it's worth a try...

I think first I'm gonna do a Superman one...I'm gonna do my version of the helicopter rescue from the first movie...that should be interesting...

Speaking of Superman, I just finished the first 4 seasons of Smallville with my mom...I got her hooked on that show...but, I don't have season 5 yet, so we're stuck on a cliffhanger...well, I've seen the premiere of 5, but I haven't seen the whole season, but I know the main points...so, I've been on the lookout for it...I think I'll find the best deal on ebay...I went to Best Buy to find it (the day of that little "accident"), but they were out...and I think theirs is a little pricey anyway...so, I'm still looking around...
